The album was recorded at London's Olympic Studios with producer Glyn Jones and released in 1972. The album immediately became a success for the young band, taking 22nd place in the charts and becoming platinum. Three singles were released from the album, each of which hit the Top 40: "Take It Easy" (12th place), "Witchy Woman" (9th place) and "Peaceful Easy Feeling" (22nd place).
