Lot 43ELOY-PERFORMANCE-1983-ПЕРВЫЙ ПРЕСС GERMANY-HARVEST-NMINT/NMINT

ELOY-PERFORMANCE-1983-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-HARVEST-1C064-46714. A rare German original. The eleventh album of a prog band from Germany. Since the appearance of the album "Performance" on the shelves of stores, a barrage of accusations from critics immediately fell on the heads of the musicians. Eloy was accused of imitating and repeating themselves! According to critics, there was nothing new in this album, but just a repetition of the previous Time To Turn! But, despite the attacks on the band, the audience received the album quite warmly! Perofrmance is a disc very characteristic of Eloy in the first half of the 80s, Bornemann seems to still not be able to decide what to play for them: either metal, or space rock. The melodies, as always, are pleasant, but there are no particularly bright ones, and the performance, again, as always, is excellent. Dominant keyboards with (increasingly rare) guitar solos. The line-up did not change in comparison with Time to Turn, and there was only one thing - the drummer Randow returned. After a seven-year break. ...

Vinyl record in top condition - NMINT/ARCHIVE. The cover is matte in top condition - NMINT/ARCHIVE. Labels as new - NMINT/ARCHIVE.

Lot 65.STEVE VAI- PASSION AND WARFARE - 1990- FIRST PRESS UK-FFT-NMINT/NMINT

STEVE VAI- PASSION AND WARFARE - 1990- FIRST PRESS UK-FFT- GRUB17. A rare British original. Passion and Warfare is the second studio album by guitarist Steve Vai, released on May 22, 1990 on Relativity and Epic Records. He received a gold certificate from the RIAA. Passion and Warfare was written based on a series of episodes of dreams that Vai had when he was younger, and in the album's guitar notes book Vai summarizes it this way: "Jimi Hendrix meets Jesus Christ at a party that Ben Hur arranged for Mel Blanc." It was all recorded at Mothership Studios in his Hollywood Hills home, a 1,600-square-foot (150 m2) building that also recorded his guitar parts for Whitesnake's 1989 album Slip of the Tongue. Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale has small spoken parts on the album; Coverdale, Adrian Vandenberg and Rudy Sarzo are credited with backing vocals. Vai claims that planning for the album began back in 1982, but was postponed after joining David Lee Roth's band and was not resumed until the breakup with Roth in 1989. ...more

Lot 60.QUEEN-A NIGHT AT THE OPERA-1975-FIRST PRESS USA-ELEKTRA-NMINT/NMINT

QUEEN-A NIGHT AT THE OPERA-1975-FIRST PRESS USA-ELEKTRA-7E-1053 SP Specialty pressing. A rare American original. A Night at the Opera is the fourth studio album by the rock band Queen, released on December 2, 1975. The record was a great success: its sales reached three million, and in the UK charts it held the first position for four inconsistent weeks. The title of the album — "A Night at the Opera" — as well as the subsequent one, is taken from the repertoire of American comedians of the 1930s by the Marx brothers, namely from the film of the same name. At each Queen concert, several songs from A Night at the Opera were necessarily performed (while "Love of My Life" was never performed in the album version). It is considered that the song "Death on Two Legs" is dedicated to the former producer of the band. "Bohemian Rhapsody" brought the band a resounding success and in 2000 was recognized in Britain as the "song of the millennium". The final album, "God Save the Queen", is the anthem of Great Britain arranged by Brian May; it was this composition that invariably completed each concert of the band. The album was ranked 230th on Rolling Stone magazine's 2003 list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, and 128th on the 2020 list. ...more
