MOORE GARY-STILL GOT THE BLUES-1990-FIRST PRESS EU GERMANY-VIRGIN-210558. A rare European original legend in rock music. Still Got the Blues is the eighth studio album by Northern Irish guitarist and singer Gary Moore, released in 1990. The album marked a significant change in style for Moore, [1] [2] who prior to this album was primarily known for his hard rock work with Thin Lizzy, G-Force, Greg Lake, and during his extensive solo career, as well as his jazz fusion work with Colosseum II. As the name suggests, Still Got The Blues demonstrates Moore's commitment to electric blues. The title track was released as a single and peaked at # 97 on the Billboard Hot 100 on February 16, 1991. [4] To date, it is Moore's only single to chart on this chart. On February 16, 1991, the album peaked at number 83 on the Billboard 200, and was certified gold by the RIAA in November 1995. It was Gary Moore's most successful album in both sales and chart positions in the United States. ...more

The album reached number 155 on the Billboard 200. The title of the album belongs to Ringo Starr. Instead of using the album as a chance to showcase his drumming skills, Moon performed lead vocals on all tracks and played drums on only three of them ("Crazy Like a Fox", "The Kids Are Alright" and "Move Over Ms. L"), although he played percussion on "Don't Worry Baby". The album was recorded by Ringo Starr, Harry Nilsson, Joe Walsh from the Eagles, Jim Keltner, Bobby Keys, Klaus Woermann, John Sebastian, Flo and Eddie (Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan from the Turtles), Spencer Davis, Dick Dale, Suzy Quatro's sister Patti Quatro, Patti's bandmates from Fanny Gene Millington and Nikki Barclay and future actor Miguel Ferrer. Despite the fact that the album received modest reviews, it did not allow it to become a cult in Britain. ...more

Lot 44.DEEP PURPLE-PERFECT STRANGERS-1984-FIRST PRESS HOLLAND-POLYDOR-NMINT/NMINT

DEEP PURPLE-PERFECT STRANGERS-1984-THE FIRST HOLLAND-POLYDOR 823777-1 PRESS is a rare European original in top condition. Perfect Strangers is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band Deep Purple and the first recorded by the reunited "classic line—up" of the band, released in November 1984.  At the beginning of October, Perfect Strangers was mixed, and on November 16 it went on sale, rising to 5th place in Britain and 17th in the USA. Blackmore, known for his clumsiness, joked that the album should finally be called the 1974 album, hinting that the last album recorded in this line-up was released back in 1973 (Who Do We Think We Are). Such zeal did not remain without consequences: the album turned out to be very successful, quickly became platinum, took 5th place in the UK charts and 17th place in the USA. Deep Purple embarked on a world tour, culminating in a performance in front of 80,000 British fans at Knebworth Park in June 1985. ...more
