NAZARETH-PLAY 'N' THE GAME-1976-THE FIRST UK-MOUNTAIN-TOPS113 PRESS.A rare British original. Play ’n’ the Game is the eighth studio album by the Scottish band Nazareth, released in 1976.The CD cover states: "This album is entirely dedicated to Bill Fehilly, whose faith and spirit are still with us." Bill Fehilly is the band's manager, who died shortly before in a plane crash. The musicians admitted that without his help, Nazareth would never have crossed the borders of England — let alone other countries. Play ’n’ the Game, like the previous album, went unnoticed in the UK, while the band was very popular in Canada, where Nazareth received about 50 gold and platinum records throughout the 1970s. According to the RIAA, it has sold over five million copies in the United States alone, becoming instantly multi-platinum. The first four tracks were previously released on the EP Live?!*@ Like a Suicide. The last four songs were recorded using acoustic guitars. They were written and recorded in just a few sessions in the studio (with the exception of "You're Crazy", which was included on the alternate version of the album Appetite for Destruction).In later interviews, Axl Rose said that he liked the way the band sounded on the last four songs, but he hated the sound of his voice. Rose recalled that his voice was hoarse and rough due to the band's long tours at that time, and if he could, he would have re-recorded his vocal parts. "You're Crazy" was released earlier on the band's debut album, Appetite for Destruction and is recorded in this album as originally intended. ...more

The reason for the topic is that Vaya Con Dios was mainly the partnership of Dani Klein and Dirk Supsa, and in 1991 the pair fell heavily.
