A rare American original of the iconic album.  A 1973 live album by Dave Brubeck and his quintet, recorded in various places in Europe. The album reached number 20 on the Billboard Top Jazz Charts. "Truth", "Unfinished Woman" and "Take Five" were recorded at the Berlin Philharmonic, "Koto Song" was recorded at the Olympia in Paris, and "Rotterdam Blues" and "Sweet Georgia Brown" were recorded at the De Doelen Concert Hall in Rotterdam. The album was reviewed by Scott Yanow of Allmusic, who wrote that "For this very logical record, the altruist Paul Desmond . . .. turns the band into a quintet, and his interaction with Mulligan is consistently delightful. ...In addition, Desmond is featured in the "Koto Song", and for an encore Brubeck performs the lighthearted, albeit brief "Sweet Georgia Brown".". ...more

A special edition of "My Name is Barbra", which aired on April 28, 1965 and was choreographed by Joe Layton. The album was certified gold and reached number 2 on the US charts. Streisand's brother Sheldon took the cover photo when she was five years old. Eight of the twelve tracks were previously released on single B-sides in the United Kingdom, and the rest on EPS. The song "Sad Day" was released as a single from the album. Neither the album nor the single "Sad Day" were released with the consent of the band, which lost control of its catalog, released before 1971, when it terminated its contract with Decca Records.. ...more

SHELLY MANNE AND CO. -SAME -1964-THE FIRST UK-STATESIDE PRESS-SL10125. A rare British original of the iconic album.  Since the early 1960s, jazz began to transform towards modern and free jazz. Since 1960, Shelly Mann has mainly concentrated on working at the jazz club, where he was a co-owner and in which he played both with his own band Shelly Manne and His Men, and with almost all the jazz stars of that time. His club featured, for example, Ben Webster, Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Michel Legrand, Milt Jackson, Monty Alexander, Miles Davis.  So this album was born, recorded with superstars in the line-up with Johnny Hodges. The last person to perform on the club's stage was Stan Getz in 1973. In the same year, Mann sold the club due to financial difficulties.  ...more

PAT METHENY AND LYLE MAYS-AS FALLS WICHITA , SO FALLS WICHITA FALLS-1981-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-ECM-ECM1190.  A rare original of the cult jazzman of the third wave (the beginning of the 70s) As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls is an album by jazz guitarist Pat Metheny and jazz pianist Lyle Mays recorded in September 1980 and released on ECM the following April. The trio consists of percussionist Nana Vasconcelos..Throughout the album, Metheny acts as the lead guitarist, accompanying guitarist and bassist, using an overdubbing technique. The track "September Fifteenth" refers to September 15, 1980, the day of the death of American jazz pianist Bill Evans. Metheny and Mays call Evans the main person involved. The album reached number 1 on the Jazz Billboard, and number 50 on the Pop/rock Billboard in 1979.  ...more
