The album received positive reviews from critics and became a commercial success. He took first place in album chart in the UK and reached the 17th place on the Billboard 200 in the United States. The album was certified multi-platinum by the British Association of the Phonographic industry and the recording industry of America for parties 1.2 million and five million copies respectively. In the period from 1991 to 1994 Enya has released four singles from Shepherd Moons : "Caribbean Blue", "How Can I Keep from Singing?", "Book of Days", which took first place in the UK at number ten, and" Marble Halls ".
