In 1988, the album received two Grammy awards in the categories "album of the year and Best vocal rock performance by a Duo or group". According to the decision of the National Academy of art and science of sound recording of the USA the album was included in "the Grammy Hall of fame", a solemn ceremony was held in 2014. In the same year, the album entered the archive of the us Library of Congress — national registry of iconic musical works of the twentieth century.
