Love Songs (eng. — "Love songs") — a double mixed album, which collected love songs recorded by the Beatles between 1962 to 1970. The collection was released by Capitol Records in the United States on 21 October 1977 (catalogue number SKBL-11711) and on Parlophone label in the UK on 19 November 1977 (catalogue number PCSP 721). We also saw the release of the album in New Zealand (with the same catalogue number and with the same printing matrix) on two different labels owned by EMI. The disc rose to 24th place in the album chart Billboard 200 and remained there 31 the week commencing 12 November 1977[2]. American Association of the Recording Industry (RIAA) certified the album for sales of three million copies, despite the fact that certification collections were discontinued in the late 1980s (certified the album with sales of three million units in 2000 even though the compilation was deleted in the late 1980s). In 1982 the collection was published by the Bulgarian label "Balkanton" Bulgaria and other countries of the Soviet Union
