After leaving Black Sabbath, Ronnie James dio assembled a new band, which included drummer Vinnie Appice, bassist Jimmy Bain and guitarist Vivian Campbell. The debut album Holy Diver was recorded in the style of the last works of Black Sabbath that attracted many fans of this group to a new team Ronnie. Holy Diver has occupied 13-e a place in the UK charts and 56th in the U.S. (but here it went gold and later platinum). Critics appreciate the album, and many songs from him are the hymns and classic hard rock. Himself Ronnie James dio has been recognized by the readers of Kerrang! magazine's best vocalist, and his band is the best new team in 1983. In a 2005 interview the leader of the group said that it has three flawless albums: Rainbow Rising, Heaven and Hell and Holy Diver.
