The album's title track "Don't Eat the Yellow Snow[en]", released as single, reached the 86-th place in the charts. Apostrophe (’) is the biggest commercial achievement of Frank Zappa. 7 April 1976 the album was rated gold status. In addition, the disc rose to 10th place in the Billboard charts. Continuing the commercial breakthrough of Over-Nite Sensation (1973), this album contains a mix of short songs and rich musical arrangements, demonstrating a cynical sense of humor, and Zappa .
