Stevie ray Vaughan wrote half the tracks, unable to withstand the weather . The album was ranked number 31 on the Billboard 200 chart, and the video for the song "couldn't Stand the Weather" received regular rotation on MTV . The album received mostly positive reviews, and AllMusic gave it four out of five stars.
