WAKEMAN, RICK-RHAPSODIES-1979-FIRST UK PRESS-A&M - AMLX68508. Matrix A-3/B-3/C-3/D-4. Rare British original cult keyboardist of progressive music. "Rhapsodies" (Rhapsody) - the 8th album by Rick Wakeman (double), includes Rhapsody works as the Rick and some other authors. Recorded this album in 1978 and early 1979 in a home Studio Wakeman "La Grange Studios", as well as in Switzerland, in the Studio, "Mountain Studios" (Montreux). Produced by Tony Visconti (previously worked with David Bowie, Marc bolana group "sparks"), he played acoustic guitar. The release took place in may 1979 on the label of A&M. Critics praised this album's different, but relatively low compared to previous albums. Sam Wakeman said that he did not plan to create something outstanding, he just tired from the countless tours with the band "Yes" and decided to relax, doing exactly the music which he at that moment was like. Daryl Stuermer), which always helped him to record his albums. Moreover, parties of all musical instruments and all the vocals played and recorded by Collins alone — in his home Studio.Within six weeks Collins self recorded and played all the tracks on the album. Walls and Bridges is the fifth solo Studio album of the participant of group "Beatles" John Lennon, released in 1974. "Walls And Bridges" was recorded during the long absences of Lennon and Yoko Ono. The song "Whatever Gets You thru the Night" was attended by Elton John. He made a bet with Lennon that the song would be able to take first place in the American hit parade (which was previously not possible for any one single solo Lennon). If this would have happened, Lennon was required to attend the Elton John concert. He had to fulfill his promise, because, "Whatever Gets You thru the Night" actually managed to climb to the top of the chart. The song "Beef Jerky" is the only instrumental on solo albums Lennon.
