The Works is the eleventh Studio album by British rock band Queen, released on 27 February 1984. The album became a kind of return to roots. After a failed attempt to release a dance album, the group understands that people want the old Queen with a powerful hard fast numbers (Now I'm Here, Dead On Time, Tie Your Mother Down), lyrical ballads (Love Of My Life, Jealousy), hard-rock ballads in the spirit of "waving flag" (We Are The Champions, In The Lap Of The Gods), Opera mnogogolovy (The Prothet''s Song, Somebody To Love) and metal quick strikes (Stone Cold Crazy Let Me Entertain You). As mentioned Brian may, The Works is "A Night At The Opera" with several strokes from The Game. The Works gave the world two great hit songs: "Radio Ga Ga" and "I Want to Break Free". The album went double platinum and was sold over five million copies.
