The album is a cross between the dominant synthesizer sound of the 1980s and the folk-influenced style that Jethro Tull used in the previous decade. Thus, the band's characteristic acoustic instruments are complemented by electronic soundscapes provided by the new keyboardist Peter-John Vettese. Virgin Killer is the fourth Studio album by the German band Scorpions, released in 1976, the band's first album, known outside Europe. The title song, Virgin Killer, illuminates the subject of human depravity, it gave the idea covers with naked young virgin who was banned in the United States and several other countries. As with the previous album, In Trance, the cover was censored in some countries the album was released with an alternative version of the cover. The artwork was Steffan Böhle, Manager of RCA Records. He depicted a naked minor girl on black background; broken glass effect covering her genitals. In Japan, the album reached the 32nd line in the hit parade. The group was formed in late 1969 by vocalist Jess Roden, after his departure from The Alan Bown Set. In General, the group is associated with its roots by Led Zeppelin. After all, Kevyn Gammond, Lockey and Paul John Pasternak participated in the first group, Robert Plant and John Bonham - Band of Joy. Bronco were signed to Island Records and released two albums "Country Home" and "Ace of Sunlight". Roden left the band in mid-1972. They released three albums during their existence, Country Home (1970) Ace of Sunlight (1971) and Smoking Mixture (1973). ...more
