The album was released on September 25, 1990. Second album, Doro is more of a solo project than a group setting. In fact, the German singer chose a new musical direction, consciously separating the musical creative process from the normal dynamics of the group, contrary to what she always did in the past with Warlock . The production of the album was placed in the hands of Kiss bassist Gene Simmons, the childhood idol Doro.Simmons provided five songs, including covers of psychedelic Electric Prunes hit The 60-ies of "I Had Too Much To Dream" and Black 'N Blue's" Rock On", and musicians, leaving an environment Kiss' to complete the entry. After the major success of the album Smash, the band returned to the Studio in 1996 to record their next album, which was titled Ixnay on Hombre. The name combines pig Latin ("Ixnay" version of the word "nix") and the word "Hombre" (which translated from Spanish means people). Ixnay on the Hombre was released on February 4, 1997 and is the first album The Offspring distributed by Columbia Records. Their former label Epitaph Records released it in Europe due to disagreements between the band and label founder Brett Gurewitz.
