DORO-DORO-1990-FIRST GERMANY PRESS-VERTIGO-846194-1. Rare original limited edition includes a poster (70 cm x 35 cm) DORO is the second solo album by German singer of hard rock Doro . The album was released on September 25, 1990. Second album, Doro is more of a solo project than a group setting. In fact, the German singer chose a new musical direction, consciously separating the musical creative process from the normal dynamics of the group, contrary to what she always did in the past with Warlock . The production of the album was placed in the hands of Kiss bassist Gene Simmons, the childhood idol Doro.Simmons provided five songs, including covers of psychedelic Electric Prunes hit The 60-ies of "I Had Too Much To Dream" and Black 'N Blue's" Rock On", and musicians, leaving an environment Kiss' to complete the entry. The song "Only You" is a cover of kiss from the album Music from The Elder (1981). He gave his protégé Tommy Thayer from Black 'n Blue (another group that was produced by Simmons) the chance to Shine as co-producer of the album along with Pat Regan. "I'll be Holding On" is a cover version of the song by Greg Allman from the 1989 film Black Rain . The resulting sound is much smoother and polished than any Warlock album, in the spirit of many American glam metal records of that time, and the lyrics are completely abandoning the Gothic atmosphere present in the proposals of the previous group Doro Pesch.[2] Many of the photographs on the cover and inner sleeve were made famous playboy and fashion photographer Philip Dixon. ...more

Burn is the eighth Studio album by the British band Deep Purple and the first recorded composition of "Mark 3", was released in February 1974 on EMI/Purple (UK) and Warner Bros. in the United States. Burn was recorded in November 1973 in Montreux, Switzerland (Mobile Studio The Rolling Stones). Under the influence of newcomers — singer David Coverdale and bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes — the sound of Deep Purple has become more Blues, began to show elements of funk and soul.Despite the fact that the song "Burn" became a big hit, and its main melody is surpassed in recognition only of the legendary "Smoke on the Water", in fact few people know that the riff of this song was borrowed from George Gershwin's of "Fascinating Rhythm /Someone to Watch Over Me". Concerto for Group and Orchestra (in translation from English. — "Concerto for group and orchestra") is a live album by British rock band Deep Purple, recorded with the Royal Philharmonic orchestra. One of the first attempts to blend classical music and rock music in one work. Was released in the U.S. in December 1969, and in the UK in January 1970. At the time of formation of the second Deep Purple line in the group, there was a confrontation between art-rock ambitions of Lord John and the hard-rock of Ritchie Blackmore.
