Golliwogs was an American rock group, which later became Creedence Clearwater Revival .[1] after previously playing as The Blue Underneath (alternative Tommy Fogerty and The Blue Underneath or The Blue Violets), since 1959, the group changed its name to the Golliwogs in 1964. Over the next three years they released a series of singles written by brothers Tom and John Fogerty . They became Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1967, in the embodiment in which they are to enjoy commercial and critical success.
