Full Moon Fever is the first solo album of the leader of the American rock band The Heartbreakers Tom petty. One of the most successful albums of the musician, who took 3rd place in the Billboard 200 and became 5×platinum in the United States and 6×platinum in Canada. Tom petty has completed the tour with The Heartbreakers in support of the album Let Me Up (I've Had Enough) and began to compose songs together with his colleague by the Traveling Wilburys and Electric Light Orchestra leader Jeff Lynn. The material was not similar to the typical songs of The Heartbreakers and petty decided to record them as a solo album.
