The album was certified platinum in Brazil, and gold in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. The album was recorded in 1987 and released on May 3, 1988. In 1987, the single "The Living Daylights" was released, which became the theme to the film "Sparks from the Eyes" about James Bond and was later included in the album.
