Cucumber Castle is the seventh studio album by the British band Bee Gees, released in April 1970. Cucumber Castle is the only Bee Gees album recorded without Robin Gibb. The singer left the band at that time for a solo career and did not take part in the work on the record. His voice can be heard in several songs, but he is not even mentioned in the credits. Instead, some vocal parts are performed by the British soul singer P. P. Arnold. The album was accompanied by the release of two singles. First of all, this is "Don't Forget to Remember", which took second place in the UK chart in August, as well as "I.O.I.O.". According to the autobiographical book Tales of the Brothers Gibb, the record itself rose in the United Kingdom only to 54th place, while in the USA it could not rise above 94- th lines. ...more

The CD became the only album recorded by the band after Phil Collins left it in 1996. The lead vocals in this recording were performed by Ray Wilson, who replaced Collins. AllMusic and Rolling Stone noted that Ray Wilson was a worthy replacement for Collins as a vocalist, but the album as a whole lacks good material. Both of them noted the strange combination of art rock and pop music on the album. ...more
