The author made an attempt to revise, update and expand it, as well as supplement it with new documentary facts about the history of the formation and development of Chrysalis, Bronze and Virgin companies. This book was planned to be published in one volume, but for technical reasons it was divided into two parts. However, the page numbering remained the same. The first part is the main one, which presents the history of Island Records, Bronze, Chrysalis and Virgin, information about the original editions, as well as a subject index for two parts. The second part of the book is auxiliary. It contains subsequent editions, albums released in various countries, covers, back covers of some albums, special inner packages, posters, label designs, additional information about albums, as well as the Company's periodic catalogues. The number of illustrations exceeds 3,500 pieces, including labels of original and subsequent editions, album envelopes, special inner packages, booklets and posters.
