A rare Scandinavian original . Close Enough for Rock ’n’ Roll is the seventh studio album by the Scottish rock band Nazareth, released in 1976. The album was released in March 1976. The album was produced, as well as the previous one, by Manny Charlton. The highlight of the album is the Telegram composition, which is a four-part work describing the difficult touring life of rock musicians. Dan McCafferty: "The first album we recorded in Canada at Le Studio. And since then, Telegram has always opened concerts." In Britain, the album enjoyed modest success, but in Canada, Close Enough for Rock ’n’ Roll was able to rise to the 12th position of the national chart

ATLANTIS-SAME-1972-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-VERTIGO-6360609. A rare original continuation of the cult prog group FRUMPY. Atlantis was formed at the end of the summer of 1972 by Inga Rumpf (vocals), Jean-Jacques Kravets (keyboards) and Karl-Heinz Schott (bass). These musicians previously played in the band Frumpy. The founding members also included guitarist Frank Dees and drummer Kurt Kress (formerly of the band Emergency). After several live performances in Germany, the first LP was released at Island Records Studio in London, which was widely recognized, especially in the United States, where Rumpf's bluesy vocals were appreciated. Diz and Kress left the band after recording. For a four-week tour of England with Procol Harum and Traffic, George Meyer joined Atlantis as guitarist and Udo Lindenberg joined Atlantis as drummer. After the tour, they were replaced by Dieter Bornschlegel (who had previously worked with the band Dreamtorte) and Ringo Funk (who had previously worked with Geronimo), with whom the second album It's Getting Better (1973) was recorded. ...more
