The album reached number 155 on the Billboard 200. The title of the album belongs to Ringo Starr. Instead of using the album as a chance to showcase his drumming skills, Moon performed lead vocals on all tracks and played drums on only three of them ("Crazy Like a Fox", "The Kids Are Alright" and "Move Over Ms. L"), although he played percussion on "Don't Worry Baby". The album was recorded by Ringo Starr, Harry Nilsson, Joe Walsh from the Eagles, Jim Keltner, Bobby Keys, Klaus Woermann, John Sebastian, Flo and Eddie (Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan from the Turtles), Spencer Davis, Dick Dale, Suzy Quatro's sister Patti Quatro, Patti's bandmates from Fanny Gene Millington and Nikki Barclay and future actor Miguel Ferrer. Despite the fact that the album received modest reviews, it did not allow it to become a cult in Britain. ...more

A very rare club original of a cult band. G N’ R Lies (also known as Lies) is the second studio album by Guns N’ Roses, released in 1988. According to the RIAA, it has sold over five million copies in the United States alone, becoming instantly multi-platinum. The first four tracks were previously released on the EP Live?!*@ Like a Suicide. The last four songs were recorded using acoustic guitars. They were written and recorded in just a few sessions in the studio (with the exception of "You're Crazy", which was included on the alternate version of the album Appetite for Destruction). In later interviews, Axl Rose said that he liked the way the band sounded on the last four songs, but he hated the sound of his voice. Rose recalled that his voice was hoarse and rough due to the band's long tours at that time, and if he could, he would have re-recorded his vocal parts. "You're Crazy" was released earlier on the band's debut album, Appetite for Destruction and is recorded in this album as originally intended. ...more
