A very rare British original with the first matrices. A Day at the Races is the fifth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on December 10, 1976 in the United Kingdom and December 18, 1976 in the United States.The album's title, "A Day at the Races," is taken from the repertoire of the American comedians of the 1930s, the Marx brothers. A Day at the Races immediately came under fire from critics. Queen was accused of unsuccessfully trying to repeat A Night At The Opera. The album turned out to be really very similar to the previous one, but it was never hidden by the musicians. Bassist Trevor Bolder made his debut with Uriah Heep on this album and, apart from an 18-month hiatus in the early 1980s, he was a member of this band until his death in 2013.
