TRAFFIC-WELCOME TO THE CANTEEN-1971-FIRST UK PRESS-ISLAND - ILPS9166. Rare original British prog.This is the first live album by English rock band Traffic . It was recorded live at Fairfield Halls , Croydon and The Oz Benefit Concert, London July 1971 and released in September of the same year. It was recorded during the third term of the Dave Mason with the band, which lasted only six performances. The track list includes one song from the first three Traffic albums, two songs from the first solo album Mason's "Alone Together" and "Gimme Some Lovin' " from the former group Steve wynwood art The Spencer Davis Group . (On the wynwood art and rhythm guitar Mason is clearly not in sync for part of "Gimme Some Lovin'".) Tons of Sobs is the debut Studio album by British rock band Free, released by Island Records on 14 March 1969. One of the first albums in the style of Blues-rock. The album hit the UK charts, but reached #197 in the Billboard Hot 200 in the United States.At the time of the recording of the album the band Free was very young: none of them are under the age of twenty, and bass player Andy Fraser was sixteen.
