TONY JOE WHITE-BLACK AND WHITE( STEREO)-1968-FIRST UK PRESS-MONUMENT - SMO5027.Very rare British original first album of the famous fantastic Blues romance.Black and White is the first album released by Tony Joe white. It contained the single "Polk Salad Annie", which has been a staple of live sets by Elvis Presley in 1970-ies. It was recorded at RCA Victor Studios, Nashville and produced by Billy Swan. Lyrics to Polk Salad Annie describe the way of life of a poor southern girl. Traditionally, the term describing the type of food highlighted in the song "poke salad". Its release, 1968, peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.
