JOPLIN, JANIS-PEARL-1971- FIRST PRESS UK-CBS-64189. Maritsa A-1/B-1 is a rare British original of the cult album. Pearl is the fourth studio album by Janis Joplin, recorded by producer Paul Rothchild in September - October 1970 and released by Columbia Records on January 11, 1971, four months after the singer's death. The CD received the highest critical acclaim, was declared a masterpiece, the best album of the singer, one of the best works of white blues. Pearl topped the Billboard 200 lists.
