The first Studio album by Ringo Starr after a long pause in the recording of Studio albums. The album was recorded after a successful world tour Starr in 1989-1990 in conjunction with the All-Starr Band. The album was very well received by the critics. Time Takes Time was recorded irregularly, with pauses for 1991 under the leadership of such well-known producers like Don Was, Peter Asher, Phil Ramone and Jeff Lynne.
