KESTREL-KESTREL-1975-FIRST UK PRESS-CUBE-HIFLY-19. Mega rare original prog school in Britain. Kestrel was self-sufficient musicians, and not pestered the recording companies. In the early 1970s, this symphonic rock quintet was playing in his pleasure in one of the London colleges. The basis of the disc was copyrighted material guitarist Dave Blake. Juicy, perfectly recorded compositions show excellent level of performance. The release is perceived in one breath, and only the goals set by the great Genesis, YES, Jethro Tull and King Crimson, not allows you to place it in the register of masterpieces. Remains to add that in the future their abilities Dave Blake showed in the group of David Bowie and several own projects. ...more
