From the Inside is the eleventh album and fourth Studio album by American rock singer Alice Cooper, released in November 1978. The creation of this album was inspired by Cooper's stay in new York hospital, where he was treated for alcoholism. Each of the characters of the songs based on real stories of people who met with Cooper in the hospital. To work on the album, Alice invited three former band members Elton John: poet Bernie Taupin, guitarist Davey Johnstone and the bass player Dee Murray. The album's lead single "How You Gonna See Me Now" is an early example of the power ballads, and reached 12th place in the ranking Billboard Hot 100.
