Full Moon Fever is the first solo album of the leader of the American rock band The Heartbreakers Tom petty. One of the most successful albums of the musician, who took 3rd place in the Billboard 200 and became 5×platinum in the United States and 6×platinum in Canada. Tom petty has completed the tour with The Heartbreakers in support of the album Let Me Up (I've Had Enough) and began to compose songs together with his colleague by the Traveling Wilburys and Electric Light Orchestra leader Jeff Lynn. The material was not similar to the typical songs of The Heartbreakers and petty decided to record them as a solo album. Tom's decision provoked a mixed reaction from his colleagues at The Heartbreakers, nevertheless they all, with the exception of drummer Stan Lynch, contributed to a record Full Moon Fever. Gill and Roelofs 1980 record a new album, preceded by its release of the single We Gotta Get Out Of This Place. The album was called I Like Some Cool Rock'n'roll, and it was produced by himself, Roelofs, and Farian remained in the project as a viewer and a producer, for which, however, had the final word. The album was attended by interesting disco song Go Down Main Street, Tom Cat, as well as a few songs Roelofs, co-written by Fred Jay, including a beautiful lyrical Take Your Time. What prevented this album to be a bestseller, unknown, but, apparently, the role played by the fact that in 1980 disco began to experience hard times.
