Red Rose Speedway is the second album by Paul McCartney and his group Wings (is the fourth in the discography of Paul McCartney's out and after his participation in the Beatles), released in 1973 label Apple Records after the relative commercial failure of their debut album Wings Wild Life (perhaps one reason for this failure was that the authors-performers of the album was still a little-known group of Wings without mentioning — the name of the group — that this group McCartney). The album reached the 1st position in the Billboard 200.

Since the release of the previous album A Hard Road in the composition of Bluesbrakers there have been noticeable changes: Peter green went to collect his own band (Fleetwood Mac), and Ainsley Dunbar went to Jeff Beck. The vacant position of drummer John Keefe took Hartley's, and replacing the lead guitarist was more difficult - because the new musician would have to withstand the comparison with Clapton and green.
