The Book of Taliesyn is the second Studio album by British band Deep Purple. Released in the United States in October 1968 on Tetragrammaton Records, and in the United Kingdom in June 1969 on Harvest records, it is named after the book of Taliesin, a Welsh manuscript of the first half of the 14th century that includes the oldest Welsh poems, many of which are attributed to the poet Taliesin (VI century).
