Black dog Petersburg is a live album by DDT, recorded on December 12, 1992 and released in 1994. The album contains eight songs that were not included in other albums. "Black Dog" is our first thematic, conceptual program. When we did it, we knew that as musicians we had to rise to a new, different level. We set ourselves tasks that we had never solved before. Topics that are generally sick of art: "To be or not to be?", The bronze horseman, Boris Godunov.… There were appeals to Mandelstam, Brodsky, Shostakovich, some kind of Symphony, even a small one. Work on figurative music has already begun. This was a milestone for us." — Yu. Shevchuk, Mikhail Chernov considers the program "Black dog Petersburg" the top of the group's growth and the beginning of its decline: "in my personal opinion, this is the end of DDT.
