Recorded and released in the US. In many countries, including Russia, it was released under the name Gorky Park 2.After the departure of vocalist Nikolai Noskov, bass guitarist Alexander Marshal became the lead singer of the band, and the band started recording the album with renewed vigor. In addition to the band, vocalists Richard marks and Fi Weibil from the Tubes, guitarists Steve Lukater from Toto, Steve Farris from Whitesnake, Dweezil Zappa and Pink Floyd live saxophonist Scott page participated in the recording of the album.mixing was conducted by Erwin Masper. According to Alexey Belov, " We recorded our second album "Moscow Calling", just like the first one — like soldiers, from under a stick. Studio time is very expensive, and it was necessary to keep within a tight time frame. We wouldn't have been paid for an extra minute in the Studio if we didn't meet the deadline."

They were founded in 1970 by classical multi-instrumentalist Peter Solly and jazz drummer Keith Webb, two members of Terry reed's band that was part of the opening act for The Rolling Stones on their 1969 American tour . Other band members were Derek Foley (guitar and vocals), formerly of Grisby Dyke; Lou Stonebridge (keyboards and vocals) of Glass Menagerie, who released five progressive rock and psychedelic rock singles, as well as lead singer Grisby Dyke; and Peter Beckett (bass guitar, vocals), who came from Liverpool-based Winston G and the Wicked, and later in the final incarnation of World of Oz .They played at venues across the UK, working to develop their sound by performing a mix of rock, Blues, soul, jazz and Latin music. The paladin's use of a double keyboard also created a unique sound. These performances were noticed by Bronze Records (who also recorded Uriah Heep and Manfred Mann).
