Lot 44.DEMON FUZZ-AFREAKA!-1970-FIRST PRESS UK-DAWN-NMINT/NMINT

DEMON FUZZ-AFREAKA! - 1970-THE FIRST PRESS of UK-DAWN-DNLS3013, a mega rare original by a British prog band. Up to a certain point, Demon Fuzz was quite a typical British progressive band of the late sixties. Atypical was the fact that the team consisted of seven black members, which, however, was also not so rare. A turning point occurred when the Demon Fuzz musicians visited Morocco, where they fully discovered African music. Here lies the secret of this unusual group: when they returned back to the UK, they realized that it would be great to mix their native progressive rock with the African rhythms that they loved so much. As a result, their cult album was born, which is designated as Afro-rock. However, the musical palette of Demon Fuzz turned out even brighter. In their heavy progressive, in addition to the African influence, you can find elements of soul (especially in the vocals), and jazz with a confident wind section, and although not so significant, but slipping funk. Their record "Afreka!" sounds very interesting and diverse, and their amazing combination of styles makes the most impressive impression. The album consists of five very long tracks. Not all of them immediately cut into the brain, but nevertheless look interesting and give pleasure to how well and thoughtfully they are made and played. Especially impressive is the epic Past, Present, and Future for ten minutes and bright in terms of melody and internal diversity of Disillusioned Man. ...more

KALINOV MOST-VYVOROTEN-1991-FIRST PRESS RUSSIA-SNC-R60 00419. A rare original of the first album of the Russian cult prog group. "Vyvoroten" is the debut studio album by the Russian folk-rock band "Kalinov Most". Refers to a total two-year studio cycle consisting of three albums: "Vyvoroten", "Darza", "Uzaren", the material for which was written continuously. The word "Eversion" in Belarus, in rural areas, is called trees that have fallen on the road, after a hurricane or thunderstorm. Example of use: "I took you another way, because on the old one, after yesterday, there were vyvorotni." It did not contain any of the songs that had already brought the band fame. The songs were not just different, but completely different in poetics, completely incomprehensible from where the author (Dmitry Revyakin) came mysterious images, intricacies of words. And a specific melos, in which, in addition to "blues" and "rock" elements, ethnic motifs and shamanic chants were fused.  ...more
