ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER AND TIM RICE-JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (2LP) - 1970-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-MCA-MAPS 2075/1-2D. A rare German original of a cult album, one of the icons in rock music. On the album Jesus Christ Superstar, released in 1970, the title role was performed by Deep Purple vocalist Ian Gillan. Other well-known artists took part in the recording: Murray Head, Mike D'Abo (ex-Manfred Mann), bluesman Victor Brox (Caiaphas), as well as Paul Raven (aka Gary Glitter) and Yvonne Elliman, who later became famous. The album Jesus Christ Superstar topped the Billboard 200 in 1971 and rose to No. 6 on the UK Singles Chart in January 1972. KALINOV MOST-USAREN-1993-FIRST PRESS RUSSIA-SNC-ME 2073. A rare original album of the Russian cult prog group. "Usaren" is a studio album by the band" Kalinov Most", recorded in 1991 and released two years later. Refers to a total two-year studio cycle consisting of three albums: "Vyvoroten", "Darza", "Uzaren", the material for which was written continuously.The word "Eversion" in Belarus, in rural areas, is called trees that have fallen on the road, after a hurricane or thunderstorm. Example of use: "I took you another way, because on the old one, after yesterday, there were vyvorotni." It did not contain any of the songs that had already brought the band fame. The songs were not just different, but completely different in poetics, completely incomprehensible from where the author (Dmitry Revyakin) came mysterious images, intricacies of words. Mega rare British original in top condition. Acquiring the Taste is the second studio album by the British rock band Gentle Giant, released in 1971 by Vertigo Records. It was a departure from the blues and soul styles found on their self-titled debut. It was more experimental, more dissonant, and with more diverse instrumentation. In the sleeve text, the band made this famous statement:Our goal is to expand the boundaries of modern popular music, at the risk of being very unpopular. We wrote down each essay with one thought in mind-that it should be unique, adventurous and exciting. It took all of our combined musical and technical knowledge. From the outset we have abandoned all preconceived thoughts about the blatant commercialism. Instead, we hope to give you something much more substantial and fulfilling. All you have to do is sit back and get a taste. The album cover has some subtext in that it is made to look like a tongue licking the anus. However, when it's fully open, it's actually a tongue licking a peach. In 2005, it was included in Pitchfork's list of "the worst record covers of all time". ...more
