SHOCKING BLUE-DREAM ON DREAMER-1973-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-POLYDOR-2459317. A very rare original album that was released only in Germany. "Dream On Dreamer" is the seventh album, released in 1973. The album is one of the band's most underrated albums, which is probably why it is not known to all fans of the band. This is completely undeserved, since it, in fact, includes no less interesting songs by Van Leeuwen than those that the musician wrote before. "Time Slips Away", "Diana in Her Dreams" and "Save Your Love" are the classic type of songs from earlier Shocking Blue. It was the Gemini Suite, five long movements inspired by members of Deep Purple, and performed live in September 1970 at the Royal Festival Hall with the Light Music Society Orchestra (an album of the concert was released in 1993 as the Gemini Suite Live). Jon Lord then recorded it in the studio as his first solo project in 1971 with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Malcolm Arnold and soloists drawn from the rock world. Gemini Suite this was an important step for Lorde and led to albums such as Windows (1974) and Sarabande (1976). The album was originally released in Europe and America in 1971 with various covers. ...more
