SSHOCKING BLUE-AT HOME-1969-FIRST HOLLAND-PINK ELEPHANT PRESS-888001. A very rare original of the legendary band's second album. At Home is the second album by the rock band Shocking Blue. It was released in 1969 on the Pink Elephant label. This album was the debut for Mariska Veres. This is the band's first recording with singer Mariska Veres. Robbie van Leeuwen acquired Veres in an attempt to emulate the shape of Jefferson's female airplane. Thanks to Veres ' remarkable vocal performance and stunning appearance, the band finally had an adequate frontwoman. The band's second album was a mix of influences from pop rock to psychedelic rock. There is also early evidence of their interest in Americana, with tracks such as " California Here I Come "and"Harley Davidson". Overall, he is best known for his hit single "Venus" - which reached number one on the US national charts. Never again did the band achieve such success in the United States

Stone the Crows disbanded in 1973, following the accidental death of Leslie Harvey from electrocution on May 2, 1972. Harvey was an integral part of the band and its music. Peter Grant became Bell's manager after the split, and along with Mark London, offered to help Bell record a solo album. Grant directed the release of her first solo album, Queen of the Night (1974), which was recorded in New York City. with producer Jerry Wexler. The swan song for Bell came when she signed with the then-newly formed Swan Song Records in 1974, along with Bad Company and Pretty Things, Jimmy Page contributed to her second album Suicide Sal (1975).  ...more

Until 1991, it existed only as a tape album, distributed by copying. Included in the book by Alexander Kushnir "100 magnetoalbums of Soviet rock" The recording was made on June 7-10, 1981. The sound engineer was Alexander "Artem" Arutyunov. The album was mixed on the spot.  The songs "In life, like in a dark thicket", "Who's to Blame?" and "I used to wander alone" were first recorded in 1979 on the first album. A total of 9 songs were recorded.
