E Pluribus Funk is the fifth studio album by American rock band Grand Funk Railroad. The album was released on November 15, 1971, by Capitol Records. Like the previous Grand Funk Railroad albums, it was recorded at the Cleveland Recording Company and is the last album produced by Terry Knight. The name is a play on the United States motto, E pluribus unum, and is Latin for "Out of many, Funk". The original exhaust cover (designed by Ernie Cefalu) was perfectly round and covered with a silver film that resembled a large coin. A rare original by one of the brilliant jazz pianists. The Individualism of Gil Evans is an album by pianist, conductor, arranger, and composer Gil Evans, originally released on the Verve label in 1964. It features Evans ' big band arrangements of five original compositions (two written by Miles Davis) and compositions by Kurt Weill, Bob Dorow, John Lewis, and Willie Dixon.The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow awarded the album 4 stars, stating that " Highly recommended to Gil Evans fans; it's a pity he hasn't recorded more albums in this era." KEEF HARTLEY BAND-THE BATTLE OF NORTH WEST SIX-1969-FIRST PRESS UK-DERAM-SML-1054. A very rare British original in archival condition. The Battle of North West Six is the second album by Keefe Hartley. At the time, Hartley's six-piece band was appearing with an expanded brass section as Keefe Hartley's Big Band, and a number of songs on the album include this expanded line-up. His professional music career began when he replaced Ringo Starr in the band Rory Storm and the Hurricanes, a popular Liverpool band at the time. He subsequently played and recorded with The Artwoods, and became a member of the John Mayall Bluesbreakers. After that, he formed his own band "The Keef Hartley (Big) Band", whose style included elements of jazz, blues, rock and roll. The band performed at the Woodstock Festival in 1969 and released 4 popular albums including Halfbreed and The Battle of North West Six. The first press was released only in Germany. No Jive is the eighteenth studio album by the British band Nazareth. Released in 1991 by Griffin Records. Despite the retirement of full-time guitarist Manny Charlton and the return of Billy Rankin, in the ' 90s Nazareth returned to the classic hard rock that they had started with. From the first chords of "Hire and Fire", it is as if you are transported to 1974, to the time of "Rampant". The first 3 tracks are made in this style. Then the obligatory melodic semi-ballad "Every Time it Rains". Remnants of the sound of the 80's still remain in "Keeping our Love Alive". "The Rowan Tree" - a small cute instrumental on acoustic guitar, which is like an introduction to "Tell Me That You Love Me" - here the guys remembered that they are from Scotland and played a wonderful folk singing song. The disc ends with another replay of " This Flight Tonight» In February 1992, the album was released, received flattering reviews from critics, followed by a tour of Europe, including the first, after 1985, a trip to England.
