A rare CBS contract original, Made in Japan is a double live album by the English rock band Deep Purple, recorded during their first tour of Japan in August 1972. It was originally released in December 1972, and in the US in April 1973, and became a super commercial success. The album was an immediate commercial success, especially in the US, where it was followed by the top five hit "Smoke on the Water" and became a steady seller throughout the 1970s. A Rolling Stone reader poll in 2012 ranked Made in Japan as the sixth best live album of all time.

"Decadence" is the third studio album by the Soviet rock band "Agatha Christie", recorded in the Sverdlovsk "Studio 8" in 1990. The album turned out to be less well-known (but more complex in sound) than the previous ones, after its release, the band had a creative pause that lasted until 1992. An interesting feature of the songs of this album were quite large in volume and unusual in meaning lyrics (for the first time in the history of the band, they all belonged to the pen of one member — Gleb Samoilov, only one of the lyrics was written by the keyboardist of the group Alexander Kozlov). Alan Price said that Lindsay Anderson wanted to make a documentary about Price and his band touring England, but the cost of licensing the songs they performed was too high. While Sherwin and McDowell were developing the script, Anderson decided that Price should write the score, and sent him the script, indicating where he would like to see the songs. Price wrote almost all of the songs before filming began. The soundtrack was released as a vinyl album by Warner Bros. Records, in 1973. In the United States, it entered the top LPs and Tape Chart on August 11, 1973, and spent 14 weeks on the chart, peaking at # 117. The score won the 1974 BAFTA Award for Best Film Score. ...more
