JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE-ELECTRIC LADYLAND-1968 ORIGINAL PRESS 1973 UK-POLYDOR - 2310269-70. A very early reissue of the album with a re-recorded sound. Electric Ladyland is the third and final album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, released in 1968.Recording the album was accompanied by constant difficulties. After a troubled tour of Scandinavia and England, Hendricks decided to move to the US. Disillusioned with the creative limitations of record companies, he set up his own Studio in new York city, where he could implement all his musical ideas. The construction of the Studio was accompanied by problems, and its construction was finally completed only in the mid-70s.As a result, Jimi recorded the bulk of the material at the Record Plant studios. Due to difficulties in his relationship with the band's bassist, Noel reading, Jimi played most of the bass guitar parts himself, including the bass solo on "1983". During the recording of "All Along the Watchtower", reading went to a nearby bar, Hendrix took his bass and recorded the song."Voodoo Chile "was recorded during Hendrix's late-night jam session featuring Mitch Mitchell, Steve Winwood on Hammond organ, and Jack Casady on bass guitar; it served as the basis for" Voodoo Child (Slight Return)", recorded the following day. The double album "Electric Ladyland" revealed the full breadth of Hendrix's musical talent. It includes samples of every genre of music from psychedelia ("Burning of the Midnight Lamp") to Blues guitar jam ("Voodoo Chile"), 50s-style rock and roll ("Little Miss Strange") and the epic" A Merman I Should Turn to Be", which can be considered an early example of progressive rock. Hendrix also recorded a cover version of Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower", which many (including Dylan himself) call the best version of this song."Electric Ladyland" reached number one on the US charts; the UK version only reached number five. In 1998, readers of Q magazine ranked "Electric Ladyland" as the 22nd greatest album of all time. Until 1991, it existed only as a tape album, distributed by copying. Included in the book by Alexander Kushnir "100 magnetoalbums of Soviet rock" The recording was made on June 7-10, 1981. The sound engineer was Alexander "Artem" Arutyunov. The album was mixed on the spot.  The songs "In life, like in a dark thicket", "Who's to blame?" and "I used to wander alone" were first recorded in 1979 on the first album. A total of 9 songs were recorded. The second and last album of the supergroup The Traveling Wilburys (the stellar line-up), recorded and released in 1990. Released in October 1990, the album was less positively received than Vol. 1, but still had a fair success. In the United States, "She's My Baby" (with guest guitarist Gary Moore) and "Inside Out" became radio hits, charting 2nd album rock and 16th album rock respectively. Alexander Vitalyevich Sitkovetsky (born April 5, 1955, Moscow) is a Soviet rock musician, guitarist, vocalist, and composer. Founder and leader of the groups "Leap Summer" and "Autograph". Recognized as one of the best Russian guitarists. In 1990, "Autograph" disbanded. Sitkovetsky moves to America. He begins to work on a solo career and releases his first (and first in the USSR) guitar instrumental album Zello, which became the "album of the year" (1992) in Russia, and earlier the video for the play "Camels" from this album, shot by Mikhail Khleborodov with Fyodor Bondarchuk in the title role, won the main prize of the annual video competition in Moscow in April 1991. In January of the same year, Alexander was officially recognized as one of the three best guitarists in the country, he also became the first Russian musician in history to sign a direct publishing contract with the American P.
