Bad Girls reached the top of the US Billboard 200 chart, where it lasted six weeks. Bad Girls received universal acclaim and was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) just a week after its release. At the 1980 Grammy Awards, Bad Girls was nominated for Album of the Year and Hot Stuff was nominated for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. In addition, "Bad Girls "was nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Female R/B Vocal Performance, and" Dim All the Lights " was nominated for Best Disco Recording. The sound engineer was Alexander "Artem" Arutyunov. The album was mixed on the spot. The album peaked at number four in the US and number three in the UK. Both singles reached number one in Canada on the national RPM 100 Top Singles Chart, as did the album itself. ALAN PRICE-O LUCKY MAN-1973-ORIGINAL PRESS 1974 UK-WARNER-K46227. Matrix A-2/B-1. A rare early edition of the cult album. Alan Price said that Lindsay Anderson wanted to make a documentary about Price and his band touring England, but the cost of licensing the songs they performed was too high. While Sherwin and McDowell were developing the script, Anderson decided that Price should write the score, and sent him the script, indicating where he would like to see the songs. Price wrote almost all of the songs before filming began. The soundtrack was released as a vinyl album by Warner Bros. Records, in 1973. In the United States, it entered the top LPs and Tape Chart on August 11, 1973, and spent 14 weeks on the chart, peaking at # 117. The score won the 1974 BAFTA Award for Best Film Score. ...more
