It was recorded primarily at Caribou Ranch Studios in Colorado with overdubs, vocals, and mixing completed at the Los Angeles Recording plant. It was the first Supertramp album to feature engineer Peter Henderson, who would work with the band on the next three albums as well. The album ... reached number 16 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart in 1977 and a few months later became the first gold (500,000 copies or more) Supertramp album sold in the United States. In addition, "A Little Bit" became an American Top 20 single and reached # 29 on the UK chart..
