WAITS, TOM-CLOSING TIME-1973-FIRST PRESS 1979 GERMANY-ASYLUM-ASK53030 A rare German original of the first album from the master of tavern blues. Closing Time is the debut album by American singer-songwriter Tom Waits, released on March 6, 1973 on the Asylum Records label. Produced and arranged by former Lovin 'Spoonful member Jerry Yester, Closing Time was the first of Waits' seven major releases from Asylum. The album was moderately successful in the United States, and although it did not chart and received little attention from the music press in the UK and other countries too. This explains that the album began to be re-released in Europe in the second half of the 70s when Tom became a super star. It had more of a hard rock sound than their previous pop albums. Sweet Fanny Adams reached number 27 on the UK Albums chart in the year of its release by RCA Records in 1974 and number 2 on the West German Albums chart. It is the band's fourth album released in the US and the third in the UK. The versions of the album released in the US and in the UK differ in the covers and the list of songs. The American version of the album was released on July 30, 1965 by London Records, and the British version was released on September 24, 1965, by Decca Records. The album was originally released in the United States. The album cover shows a photo taken during the same photo shoot as the photos that appeared on the covers of the albums 12 X 5 and The Rolling Stones No. 2. The album was the result of six months of work by the band. It includes songs that later became hits, such as "The Last Time" and, which became world famous, "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", previously released only on the band's live EP Got Live If You Want It!. The album became the first edition of the band to reach the top of the Billboard 200 chart, and subsequently received platinum status in the United States. Scène de vie (English: Moments in Life) is a studio album by French artist Patricia Kaas. It was her second album, released in 1990. This confirmed the singer's potential, reaching the top of the album chart in France. In France, Scène de vie climbed to number 2 on May 10, 1990, and then reached the top of the album chart and stayed there for ten weeks. It spent 38 weeks in the top ten and 78 weeks in the top 50.[3] It became a diamond disc eight years after its release, just as Mademoiselle Chante did... before him. In Switzerland, the album entered the charts on May 6, 1990 at number 17 and reached a peak position of 15. It remained on the chart for six weeks, and then replenished for another 16 weeks, from January 20 to May 5, 1991, entering the top 30 for eight weeks.[5] It was certified double platinum in 1993. The album also went platinum in Canada, going gold on March 28, 1991 ...more
