WAITS, TOM-CLOSING TIME-1973-FIRST PRESS 1979 GERMANY-ASYLUM-ASK53030 A rare German original of the first album from the master of tavern blues. Closing Time is the debut album by American singer-songwriter Tom Waits, released on March 6, 1973 on the Asylum Records label. Produced and arranged by former Lovin 'Spoonful member Jerry Yester, Closing Time was the first of Waits' seven major releases from Asylum. The album was moderately successful in the United States, and although it did not chart and received little attention from the music press in the UK and other countries too. This explains that the album began to be re-released in Europe in the second half of the 70s when Tom became a super star. Amoeba's Secret is a live mini-album by Paul McCartney, released in 2007, recorded during a" secret " (not advertised in advance) performance of McCartney and his band at the Amoeba Music music store in Hollywood on June 27, 2007. The mini-album reached number 119 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, although the album's advertising was minimal. Two tracks from the mini-album were nominated for a Grammy Award in 2008 for the 51st Award Ceremony held on February 8, 2009: "That Was Me" in the category "Best Male Pop Vocal Performance" and "I Saw Her Standing There" in the category "Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance"  ...more
