DEEP PURPLE-PERFECT STRANGERS-1984-FIRST PRESS UK-POLYDOR POLH16  A very rare original in top condition. Perfect Strangers is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band Deep Purple and the first recorded by the reunited "classic line-up" of the band, released in November 1984.  In early October, Perfect Strangers was mixed, and on November 16 it went on sale, rising to the 5th place in Britain and to the 17th-in the USA. Blackmore, known for his inconsistency, joked that the album should finally be called the album of 1974, hinting that the last album recorded in this line-up was released back in 1973 (Who Do We Think We Are). Such zeal did not remain without consequences: the album turned out to be very successful, quickly became platinum, took 5th place in the UK charts and 17th place in the USA. The debut solo studio album by English progressive rock singer Peter Gabriel and the first of four albums with the same name. Released on February 25, 1977, it was produced by Bob Ezrin. Gabriel and Ezrin gathered musicians, including guitarist Robert Fripp and his future King Crimson bandmate Tony Levin on bass. After the release of the album, Gabriel began touring with a group of seven people under his own name. The album reached # 7 in the UK and # 38 in the US. This album is often referred to as either Peter Gabriel I or Car, referring to the album cover by London-based artist Peter Christopherson.
