The CD is recognized as one of the greatest in the history of pop music, and has won several awards, including the Grammy Award for Best Album of the Year. The album was an instant success in the US, selling more than a million copies in its debut week — the largest number of discs sold per week ever by a British pop artist. DEEP PURPLE-FIREBALL-1971-FIRST PRESS UK-HARVEST- SHVL793 Matrix A-2U/B-3U . A rare original of the cult album. Fireball is the fifth studio album by the British rock band Deep Purple. Recorded between September 1970 and June 1971, released in September 1971 on Harvest Records. The album was recorded at De Lane Lea Studios (like its predecessor). Compared to Deep Purple in Rock, this album was recorded in a more experimental style. Allmusic named it one of the band's four most important albums, along with Machine Head, In Rock and Burn. Ian Gillan, unlike the rest of the band, considers this album a classic of Deep Purple. Nevertheless, he noticed that the inclusion of "Anyone's Daughter" (in the country style and with humorous lyrics) on the album was fun, but a mistake ("A good bit of fun, but a mistake"). Jon Lord singled out several tracks of the album, such as "No No No" and "Fools", and especially noted Pace's playing in the title track. The track "Strange Kind of Woman", released as a single in February 1971 and rose to number eight in the UK charts. 20,000 copies were sold in the first week. TERRE HAUTE PRESS.  A very rare American original of the cult album. Waiting for the Sun is the third studio album by American rock band The Doors, released in July 1968. The CD was recorded at Sunset Sound Studio (Los Angeles). It was originally planned that it would be based on the 25-minute composition "The Celebration of Lizard", but after listening to the recorded material, which only Morrison was satisfied with, this idea had to be abandoned. The album also did not include the title song, which was transferred to the album Morrison Hotel. While working on the album, Morrison often got drunk, which infuriated producer Paul Rothschild. Despite its roughness, as well as a barrage of criticism, the album reached the first line in the national hit parade. ...more
