RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS-CALIFORNICATION(2LP'S)-1999-FIRST PRESS UK/EU-WARNER BROS-9362-47386-1 . A very rare original of the cult album. Californication is the seventh studio album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, released on June 8, 1999. Like the band's two previous records, the album was produced by Rick Rubin and released on the major label Warner Bros. Records. Californication marked the return of guitarist John Frusciante, who left the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1992 during a tour in support of the album Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Frusciante officially rejoined the band in 1998, replacing Dave Navarro. In addition to the usual sexual themes for the band, the album touches on topics such as death, suicide, drugs, globalization, as well as travel. The album includes such hits as "Californication", "Around the World", "Otherside", as well as "Scar Tissue", which won a Grammy Award in the category "Best Rock Song". Californication is the band's most commercially successful album. He reached the 3rd line of the Billboard 200 chart. To date, Californication has sold over 16 million copies, including 5 million in the US. Many critics noted Californication as a watershed record that changed the band's musical style: against the background of all previous RHCP records (very dynamic), this album is more calm, reflective and epiphanic - noted Greg Tate of Rolling Stone. ...more

DEEP PURPLE-SLAVES AND MASTERS-1990-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-RCA- PL90535. A rare original of the cult album. Slaves and Masters is the thirteenth studio album by Deep Purple, released on October 5, 1990. The CD was recorded with the participation of vocalist Joe Lynn Turner, who came to replace Ian Gillan at the suggestion of Richie Blackmore. The album went on sale on November 5, 1990 and caused contradictory responses. Blackmore was very pleased with the record, but music critics felt that it was more like a Rainbow album. Ian Gillan, who was dismissed from the group, had a similar opinion. "I feel proud of what Deep Purple did, and I think it would be fair if they called themselves by some other name - "Rainbow" or something. I think that would be fair enough. I think everyone would be relieved. They could very well continue their career as "Rainbow" and at a much higher level than if they continued as "Deep Purple". Upon its release, the album Slaves and Masters reached number 87 on the US Billboard 200 chart. Despite low album sales, Deep Purple conducted a relatively successful tour in support of Slaves and Masters in 1991, especially for the band's European leg. Turner was still a member of the band when they began writing and recording their next album in 1992, but under pressure from managers who were planning a tour in honor of Deep Purple's 25th anniversary, they eventually decided to bring Gillan back into the lineup for their 1993 studio album The Battle Rages On... ...more
