The American edition focused on songs from 1964 and 1965 with two new tunes: the recent "19th Nervous Breakdown" and the re-recorded "Time Is on My Side" with a guitar intro. Vocalist and songwriter Michael Fennelly hit the Top 40 with his first single "Go Back". Crabby Appleton signed with Elektra Records and recorded their first album Crabby Appleton, produced by Don Gallucci and released in 1970.[1] The band's debut single "Go Back" rose to number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.[2] The band opened for the Doors, Sly and the Family Stone, Three Dog Night, Guess Who, ABBA and George Carlin. They appeared on the American Bandstand, the Real Don Steele Show, What's Happening with John Byner and enjoyed critical acclaim.
